FEEDING
THE CHILDREN
Over the years as
God has opened our heart to do missionary trips and be in contact
with different missionaries in different countries. God has
put it on our heart to assist and help at this time in four
different locations. Jamaica, Africa, Mexico and the Philippines.
In some of these
countries these children have been abandoned and left on the
streets to fend for themselves. They scrounge through the garbage
to find food, Not realizing that much of this food has become
partially rotten and many of these children are later found
dead from food poisoning.
These children live
and sleep wherever they can find shelter, under bridges, in
cardboard boxes. Many have the same clothes on until they are
falling off of their bodies.
We at Channel of
Love Ministries want to care for their physical needs, but we
also make sure that all of these children have opportunity to
receive Jesus. In each of these areas there are bible college
students and pastors to care for them, with bible studies, Sunday
school classes, so these children and widows can be strengthened
in their spiritual growth.
In Africa, the missionary
that we work with, says, a large number in the villages are
dying of aids. Many of these children are orphaned due to Aids.
We are committed to help them with food and clothes and other
necessities. And support these on an ongoing basis.
When God had us step
out, he spoke very clearly to us, that he would always have
people who would assist us to help care for these orphans and
widows.
Below is a collage
of the pictures of our children and widows we sponsor. Please
be in prayer about how you can help us with your financial support
for all of our mission food outreach programs.. Because our
hearts desire is to do much more.
Thank you so much!
Joan and Marty Pearce
We sponsor several
hundreds of children in different countries. Many are orphans,
whose parents have died from aids and other diseases. Other
children have tragically been simply abandoned. We have programs
where we supply basic food so they can just stay alive. Our
heart’s desire is to provide for more than just one meal a day
for these needy children.
PHILIPPINES
Years ago, God gave
me an open vision of hundreds of children reaching their hands
out to me and crying, they looked desperate and without hope.
I went into intercession for several hours weeping and crying
over this vision. In this vision they looked like Filipino children.
Because of the vision,
we at Channel of Love Ministries, scheduled a trip to the Philippines
and set up two feeding programs in different locations. Our
hearts were overwhelmed by the poverty that they experienced.
They are called squatters, which means they have no place to
live, so they just find someone's property and make lean-tos
to live in. Until they are kicked off. They also scrounge through
the garbage's for their existence.
As we minister to
them through these food programs, God truly spoke to us and
said, "Feed my children and feed my babies." So I
asked the Lord, "How long do you want us to take care of
these orphans and widows?" And God said, "Until my
Son returns."
So we have been faithful
over the years to assist, with the feeding programs in the Philippines.
Where bible students from Bethel Bible College pick up the children
and do outreaches and feeding out on the streets. And have brought
them into the church and helped them to learn the basics of
reading and writing. Some of the children that we first me,
on our first trip, have now completed school and graduated with
high honors. Praise God!
JAMAICA
We have wonderful
church that we are working with in Portmore Jamaica. Where they
gather all the children that are in poverty throughout their
neighborhood. And bring them into the church grounds for bible
study classes and the feeding program, and arts and crafts.
Teaching them about Jesus.
MEXICO
Our most recent project
is TJ Mexico. We took a missionary team in and went into three
orphanages. And helped a small church with outreaches. Doing
skits, clowning, sharing Jesus, giving our food, clothing and
toys. And sharing the love of Jesus. We also ministered at the
city dump where hundreds scrounge though the garbage for food
and anything they can fix and sell just to exist.
We have plans for
ongoing projects to assist them in their missionary work and
are helping them with rice and beans.
AFRICA
Several years ago,
we did a conference with Issues of Life Ministry. That reaches
out to several villages in Africa. Assisting an ongoing work
there. Where Aids is a very serious problem. The church has
setup part of the sanctuary as a Hospice center with cots where
they care for families and children who are dying of Aids daily.
Many of them receive Jesus as they are breathing their last
breath. This is a large undertaking, feeding and caring for
so many children where their parents have died of Aids. They
have stated to us, that many children are starving to death.
And in the winter seasons, they find them in different locations
where they have tried to find shelter, frozen. We at Channel
of Love Ministries are just trying to help and assist, them
in their ongoing work.
